Plan Commencing January 5, 2025, Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (rkŠÊ˜·³Ç) became an employer with the College of Applied Arts & Technology (CAAT) Pension Plan. All new eligible employees of rkŠÊ˜·³Ç are automatically enrolled in the DBplus plan design after six months of employment. Once enrolled, employees contribute to DBplus through regular payroll deductions and rkŠÊ˜·³Ç matches a percentage of the contribution based on one of seven options selected by the employee.

DBplus is an innovative pension plan design from the CAAT Pension Plan that provides members with a lifetime pension in retirement. Members and their employers both contribute to building a secure, sustainable retirement income that’s paid for life upon retirement.

Benefits

rkŠÊ˜·³Ç offers eligible employees with a competitive benefits package to ensure their well-being in and outside of the workplace. Employees are offered the choice of a single or family plan coverage. Notable benefits include:

Extended Health and Prescription Drug Coverage - Employees can receive coverage for a wide array of medical expenses that includes hospital accommodation, medical items and services, hearing care, or prescription drugs.

Dental Coverage - Employees can receive coverage for dental expenses ranging from basic services (e.g., dental cleaning), comprehensive basic services (e.g., root canal therapy), to major services (e.g., crown restorations).

Vision Coverage - Our vision plan covers periodic eye exams for employees requiring vision care.

Life Insurance - Employees are provided with Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance with an option to purchase Critical Illness coverage.

Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) - Employees have access to additional funds to cover for supplementary costs not covered under their extended health, dental, or provincial health plan.

Paid Leave - In addition to paid vacation time, rkŠÊ˜·³Ç uniquely offers its employees with flex-time (a.k.a. Personal Days), enabling them to take additional time off without dipping into their vacation allotment. We also provide a generous paid sick leave program that enables employees to take time off due to personal illness or injury or care for a dependent family member.
